From 29.11 till 2.12.2007 Leonardo was racing in the most prestigious karting event in Latin America: 500 milhas de Kart da Granja Viana in Brazilian city Sao Paolo. This year in this 12hours races of karting groups there were participated such great stars of latinamerican and world motorsport as Felippe Massa, Rubens Barichello, Nelsinho Piquet, Tony Kanaan, Vítor Meira, Antonio Pizoznia, Christian Fittipaldi and others. And in this keen competition Leonardo together with his teammates of Brazilian team LP Kart Performance have reached overall unique 10th place of all 68 participated teams!
